Afterschool Care

SHOOTING STARS 
Age 7 through Grade 5 - (Sturgeon Bay Center only)
Play, learn, and grow after school at the YMCA.  YSTARS is an instructor lead program which includes homework help, free play, and healthy activities.  YSTARS is also a great way to get your child involved in YMCA classes as it provides supervision before and after classes for parents who aren't able to pick up until later.  YSTARS is free on days that your child is signed up for an after school class.
YSTARS...
- will run for children ages 7 through 5th grade
- will follow the Sturgeon Bay school calendar
- will run 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm every school day except half days
- will provide care on half days of school as a separate registration
- will not allow drop-ins
- will not provide snacks
- will be free for anyone registered for an after-school class on that day
- All students age 7 through 10 in the building during after school hours will have to be registered for YSTARS unless they are directly being supervised by a parent.
- Youth ages 6 and under are not allowed in Y STARS per state licensing rules.

KIDS CLUB at Sunrise - Ages 5 through 12
The program follows the Sturgeon Bay School calendar and care is offered on all half days of school but, by law, not on any day that school is closed or cancelled for any reason (ie: snow day or holiday).  Kids Club program activities include arts/crafts, instructor led group games, outdoor time, free time, homework help, and physical activity.  USDA approved snack is served daily.
Registration for the program is on a first come first served basis and a waiting list is kept when full.
