THE EVENT

THE Event to benefit the Door County YMCA will be taking place at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club on July 25^th and July 26^th.   This is the third year for “THE Event”, an annual fundraising event to benefit the Door County YMCA.

New in 2010...discover the secrets and techniques of wine tasting with National Wine Expert, Mark Phillips.  Mark will be presenting at the Sunday dinner and the Monday wine tasting.

On Sunday evening, July 25^th, a five-course dinner will be served with wine pairings to compliment each course.  A silent and live art auction will be taking place throughout the evening featuring some of Door County’s finest artisans and unique wines.  Also available for auction this year will be a Harbor Lady Margarita Cruise for 20 and a pair of VIP tickets to the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in August.  Charisma will be providing music for dancing following dinner.  Cocktails begin at 5:00p.m. and dinner at 6:00p.m.

On Monday afternoon, July 26^th, a scramble format golf outing will be held on Horseshoe Bays championship course with an early lunch at NOON, a shotgun start at 1:00 and a cocktail reception to follow golf.  

Also on Monday will be a new event...a Y'ning women wine tasting. The wine tasting will take place at 3:00pm with a presentation and tasting, followed by heavy hors d' oeurves and raffles in the bar with the golfers.
