SUMMER DAY CAMP

TINY TREKKERS - Campers ages 4 & 5 (Sturgeon Bay)
Great as a first camp experience, Tiny Trekkers gives your child the chance to make new friends, create cool art projects, learn new games, splash in the pool, flip and tumble in the gymnastics room, and even take a couple of field trips on a REAL school bus!  Each week will consist of a different theme geared toward the interests and abilities of your preschool child.  These themes are designed for children to explore and experience new things by participating in activities such as scavenger hunts, large motor activities, music, games, art projects and traditional camp fun.  We have 2 days per week to choose from or you may sign up for both!  Contact Dori Meyer for more information.

DISCOVERY CAMP - Campers age 5 through Grade 2 (Sturgeon Bay)
Discovery Camp is a licensed day camp full of fun and exciting indoor and outdoor explorations.  Everyday includes activities that nourish your child's sense of adventure and creativity.  Registration for Discovery Camp is by the day of the week (ie. Mondays for the whole summer).  Swimming lessons will be included for Tuesday and Thursday campers.  Camp fees include all bus transportation for field trips, snacks, art supplies, admission fees, swim lessons and one t-shirt for each camper (Additional t-shirts available for purchase).  All campers must bring their own lunch/drink and swimsuit/towel every day.  Children in Grade 2 may enroll in either Discovery Camp or Journery Camp.  Discovery Camp activities are geared toward the younger child, move at a slower pace, some days include rest time and/or quiet story time.  Journey Camp is for Grade 2 through 5 and moves at a more active pace, may involve hikes, longer field trips, rec swims and fewer rest periods.  Please sign your 2nd Grader up where you feel your child will do best.

JOURNEY CAMP - For Boys & Girls entering Grades 2 through 6 (Sturgeon Bay)
More activities, more trips, more flexibility, more fun, all for a comparable day care rate.  Journey Camp at the Door County YMCA is one of the most versatile camps you will ever see.  Why?  Because you can register by the week, pick and choose your days, or make it a combination of the two.  We allow the customer to customize!  If you're going on family vacation midweek to midweek... no problem...with the Great Escape Package you can plan accordingly so as not to be paying for something you're not going to use.  This is revolutionary in the world of day camp.  Most camps require you to commit for the whole summer or week by week sessions and often times pay a registration fee to hold your spot too.  But not here.  With Journey Camp, you decide what's best for you. 

Weekly theme camps will run Monday through Thursday and Fantastic Fridays will be available for the same 10 weeks as a separate registration for those that need a fun and safe place on Fridays.   All in all, we are offering summer camp for 55 straight weekdays.  Each day, every camper will need to bring a lunch/drink, a swimsuit, and a towel.  Journey Camp will provide your child with a morning and afternoon snack every day.  Upon registration you will be given a Summer Camp Handbook complete with all of our procedures and policies. 


CITY-PARK HALF DAY CAMP - Children ages 6 to 12 (Sturgeon Bay)
Through a new partnership, the City of Sturgeon Bay are proud to be offering a program together at a very afforable rate thanks to special funding granted for this program. This program is perfect for those families who don't need full time day care, but are looking for fun activities to get kids out of the house and keep their minds and bodies active.  Children will engage in sports and rec games, a variety of crafts, team building challenges, and various group led games with emphasis on fun.  All participants will receive a morning snack. There will be three 3-week sessions offered throughout the summer.


PRESCHOOL DAY CAMP - Children ages 4 & 5 (Northern Door)
A fun and exciting day awaits your preschool boy or girl at the Norther Door Center's Preschool Day Camp!  Campers will have a blast with indoor arts, lots of swimming time, gym activities as well as outdoor games and nature exploration.  Snacks will be provided for a morning re-charge! Space is limited - don't wait to sign-up!

VOYAGERS DAY CAMP - Children entering Grades 1 through 5 (Northern Door)
Have fun this summer with all of your friends at the YMCA!  Voyagers Day Camp is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so sign up and enjoy our weekly themes!  Play games, create artwork, go on local hikes and participate in swim lessons at the YMCA pool.  We'll be off exploring the world with great field trips to such places as Washington Island, Camp Cuesta and Bay Beach in Green Bay.  Camp price includes most field trips fees, but campers may need additional money for some field trips (this will be specified on a detailed camp schedule).

FUN IN THE SUN CAMP - Ages 6 to 12 in Sister Bay
Play a variety of sports while building skills, create craft projects and engage in team building challenges and games along with a healthy snack.  Half-day or full-day option available.
