Door County YMCA Surpasses Annual Campaign Goal, Raising Over $583,000 to Support Membership for All

The Door County YMCA is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2025 Annual Campaign, raising over $583,000—surpassing the original goal of $580,000. This vital funding ensures the YMCA can continue delivering on its mission to strengthen the foundation of the community in Door County.

The 24/25 annual campaign, which concluded in May, saw support from over 600 unique donors, including generous contributions from individuals, local businesses, and charitable foundations. These contributions directly fuel the YMCA’s Membership for All (MFA) program—an initiative that ensures cost is never a barrier to participation by adjusting membership and program fees based on

household income. Thanks to MFA, no one is ever turned away from the Y due to financial limitations.

"This campaign is about more than just a number—it’s about people," said Brett Cleveland, Door County YMCA’s Philanthropy Executive. "Each donation represents a commitment to making wellness, belonging, and community accessible to everyone in Door County. We are so grateful to every donor who made this possible." Tonya Felhofer, CEO of the Door County YMCA, echoed that sentiment: "The funds raised allow us to respond to the ever-evolving needs of our community. From childcare to chronic disease prevention to mental health and social connection, the Y is here for all. But

our work is not done. This campaign is a reminder that when we come together, we can create real, lasting impact—and we will continue that work every day."

The success of the Annual Campaign ensures that the YMCA remains a welcoming and inclusive resource for individuals and families of all backgrounds. While this year’s fundraising

effort has concluded, the Y’s commitment to the community continues year-round.
