Mental health is how you think, feel, and act. Everyone has mental health. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects your ability to cope with stress, overcome challenges, build relationships, and recover from life's hardships (source: helpguide.org). Having a strong mental health is as important as having strong physical health and is important from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
If you are experiencing mental health problems or having a hard time dealing with any hardship, remember there is help. Talking to a trusted friend, counselor, teacher, or pastor will remind you that you are not alone and that you are supported. You can schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider to tell him/her your symptoms. You can also dial 2-1-1 which is a free, confidential crisis hotline. 211 connects you with thousands of nonprofit and government services in your area and is available 24/7.
