Please note that once registered, all cancellations and transfers must be handled by the camp director at the specific site. Please visit the specific camp page for that contact information.
We are committed to giving everyone the opportunity to participate in character-building programs, including summer camp, regardless of the ability to pay. A subsidy program, administered through the State of Wisconsin, as well as partial financial assistance through the Y's "Membership For All" program (MFA subsidies available if state subsidy is less than 50%), is available for all of our licensed camps. Parents/guardians are required to pay all fees not covered by any financial assistance.
For state subsidy information, contact Door County Human Services at 920.746.2245. A current "Authorization of Service" must be on file with the Y prior to camp attendance. Parents/guardians are responsible for full payment until "Authorization of Service" is received. Parents must submit co-payment by the end of each month to continue care into the following month. Verification of subsidy support is due by June 10, or the regular camp deposit is immediately due.
The Y utilizes photos of program participants in promotional materials (last names are not published). If you do not wish to have your child photographed or imaged used in promotional materials, please check the appropriate box during the registration process or contact your child's camp director.
Our online registration system will prompt you through all necessary forms when you sign up for camp. Apart from online registration, please submit your child's immunization forms to the Camp Director prior to your child's first day at camp. Please call your program center with any questions in regards to camp forms.
Y camps are not able to provide a 1:1 supervision ratio of any child. Planned ratios are implemented and range from 1:10 to 1:15 depending on ages and activities. If your child requires more supervision, it will be the parent's responsibility to inform Y staff and provide that appropriate service for your child. Assisting adults are permitted to accompany children in our camps at no additional cost. Contact the camp director to make arrangements prior to your child arriving at camp.
Summer fun includes swimming in our aquatic facilities or local beaches. Please note that most of our Sturgeon Bay camps include instructional and/or recreational swim time as part of the curriculum. Instructional swim lessons include a pre- and post-season assessment that will be sent home for you to see your camper's progress. Please note that Northern Door camps do not have instructional swim lessons included.
